These Awards are being launched to recognise and celebrate the very best Digital and Social Marketing campaigns, the amazing talent in the industry and the leading organisations delivering these campaigns. These Awards are free to enter and will align with our aim of providing a benchmark for organisations and in-house teams selecting agencies and giving re-assurance they are able to provide creative, strategic and measurable results and advice. The Awards reflect the wide scope of skills being employed by the nation, whether it’s digital and social delivery methods, technological innovation and development or recognising exceptional talent delivering great results.

Our expert Judges include industry experts and practitioners who will recognise and reward outstanding achievements in the Digital and Social industry by considering measurement and effectiveness of the campaigns. This is an Awards program purely based on effectiveness, measurement, results and impact.

The Awards gala dinner will be a black-tie dinner held in London. There will be a champagne reception, a three-course dinner and an awards presentation announcing all of the winners from the shortlist. The 2018 Awards will be a must-attend event for those involved within the Digital and Social Marketing industry!

Hugh has 17 years’ experience in digital and social media. This includes Que Pasa Communications (now part of Seven C3), leading marketing campaigns for Red Bull, Nike and Sony Ericsson; and content projects for the BBC, Channel 4, RTL and Virgin Media. More recently, Hugh was at Unity, managing the social elements of major campaigns including Shwopping for Marks & Spencer and the award-winning R UV UGLY? For Cancer Research UK. At 3 Monkeys Zeno, Hugh oversees digital, social and influencer strategies for clients including Castrol, Novartis and Intel.

Ben Cicchetti, Head of Marketing, INFOSUM

Ben has a decade of experience delivering marketing strategy in the technology industry. Ben has a proven track record of building marketing functions from the ground up; having previously been responsible for establishing and growing an early FinTech business, EValue. During his time at EValue, Ben worked with brands such as Nationwide, L&G, Aviva and Barclays. Ben recently joined Basingstoke based start-up, InfoSum, who are shaping the future of peoples based marketing, through their one-of-a-kind decentralised Customer Data Platform.

Vanessa Clements, Co-founder & CEO, 26FOUR Media

Vanessa has spent more than a decade leading teams of award winning journalists and producers to create programmes for national and international news outlets whilst also working on their digital news desks. Covering some of the biggest stories, she's produced compelling programmes which have engaged and informed audiences around the world. Vanessa’s now founded a media production company which provides online and broadcast videos. She works with clients in Japan, the U.S.A, Europe, and Asia to deliver digital and broadcast content. 26FOUR Media also provides media training and strategy to teach businesses how best to utilise video for their different platforms. David Crawford has worked for the last 25 years in marketing and digital agencies of all shapes and sizes. He was most recently Managing Director of Branded3, one of the UK’s leading search agencies, and has also held senior positions at McCann, BJL and twentysix. Steph Miller, Head of Sales, Zoopla

Steph joined Zoopla in 2010 and was tasked with developing advertising revenue in the build up to a planned stock market flotation. Her early adoption of programmatic and focus on lean growth produced a hugely profitable revenue stream that was an important element in the successful IPO in June 2014. After IPO the focus was diversification and Steph played a key role in developing the unique, award winning re targeting AdReach product which allowed Zoopla to safely realise the value of its unique data asset. She is the Founder of Business Consort which is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing and was established in 2005. The academy has developed it into a world leading training organisation having trained & certified over 20,000 students to date. She has over 10 commendations from the CIM for outstanding results achieved by her students achieving worldwide recognised qualifications such as the CIM Digital Diploma in Professional Marketing. In addition, she also was shortlisted for the CIM Marketing Excellence Award ‘Marketer of the Year’ earlier this year. Starting a digital career in 1998 as a self-taught digital marketer, David has extensive experience in the online world. Currently Head of Digital Strategy at MediaCom, David oversees the digital output across many verticals including food and drink, travel and retail. Previously David has built and promoted letting websites, worked for an off-shore web development and worked at Skyscanner for 4 years where he set up & led the search marketing team in over 24 countries and 15 languages. Highlights of his digital career include winning multiple awards such as ‘best use of SEM’ awards from Travolution in both 2011 and 2013 and speaking at search industry conferences in both New York and Singapore . Lexi Mills is a multi-award winning digital marketing expert, specialising in integrating PR and SEO at both a strategic and tactical level. Kerry Nelson, Founder & Managing Director, Nexus IFA

Kerry Nelson is the founder and managing director of Nexus IFA, a business she founded just over a decade ago. It now has three client facing advisers, nine staff and more than 400 clients from across the UK. The business provides general financial planning and advice to individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses in a modern, client-centric IFA practice. Nexus has set up an independent investment committee to construct and manages its own model portfolios for clients with a strong emphasis on risk management, client communications and a deep understanding client needs. More broadly Kerry is a campaigner for better standards of financial advice and improved practices within the financial services industry, working with the national media to warn consumers about the pitfalls of unregulated investments, while calling for advisers and platforms to improve standards in a regular column in trade website Professional Adviser. Her particular concern at the moment is unregulated property investments having helped investors and relatives of clients obtain at least some compensation recently. She is now embarking on a new phase demanding that the industry tightens its processes to minimise the harm to the public. Before the financial crisis, she played a role in highlighting the risks of structured products and their potential for detriment including writing a report criticising the products which circulated in government and regulatory circles. Kerry first began her career more than two decades ago in banking moving from branch management into financial advice, and then into research, communications and marketing with among other firms a national IFA, then fulfilling the role of head of external communications with HSBC Asset Management. She then decided to bring this advice, research, and communications expertise together to create Nexus.

Niamh Taylor, Managing Director, Digital Twenty Four

Niamh - a fellow of CIM - is a multi award-winning digital marketing expert with over 20 years experience in marketing, both online and offline, across B2B, B2C and public sector. She was crowned NI Digital Business Person of the year as well as being named one of the top 100 UK SME Digital Leaders. She is a digital specialist business mentor and owner of leading digital agency - Digital Twenty Four - based in Northern Ireland. Niamh is a regular guest speaker at conferences and delivers training on all areas of digital marketing. She has previously judged the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ireland awards as well as Digital Advertising NI awards.

‘We believe that every child with cancer, wherever they live in the world, should have equal access to the best possible treatment and care and is able to realise their potential. In western Europe and the States, over 84% of children diagnosed with cancer survive, but in the developing world it can be as low as 10%. The majority of those effected do not even know the name of the illness that is taking their life nor receive pain medication stronger than paracetamol. We work to try and even these odds. Our mission is to improve diagnosis, access to treatment and quality of support for children with cancer, and their families, in the developing world.’ There will be a collection for this charity on the evening of the Awards.
